Dr. Grant Hayes is currently a distinguished professor and Acting Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor East Carolina University. He has spent the last 30 years as an innovative leader, teacher, professor, and administrator. He is a fellow of the American Counseling Association and a past member of the board of directors of the American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education. He is a past president of the Counseling Association for Humanistic Education and Development and recipient of the association’s Humanistic Processes Award. Membership on the Magnolia Arts Theater Board of Directors (Greenville, NC) and as a actor in Purlie (Purlie) and Driving Miss Daisy. (Hoke)

Brenda Bethune is the mayor of Myrtle Beach South Carolina and proud native. After graduating from college in 1983, she moved back home to work in the family business. She continued education through the Anheuser-Busch Beer Marketing Management Development Program. She is the CEO and majority owner of Better Brands Inc. She also owns BJ investments, a local property investment and rental company as well as to bridal boutique. The Little White Dress in Myrtle Beach and Madison Road in Charleston, South Carolina. She and her husband Brown Bethune have three daughters and two grandsons. She has been a lifelong supporter of the arts and we are thrilled and honored to have Brenda serve on our board.

Tilghman is a Myrtle Beach local business owner, an advocate for locally owned small businesses, an avid supporter of her community and the arts! She organizes attendance at local theatre events with Myrtle Beach Women Who Love Theatre. Her shop Studio 77 gifts & accessories is a local institution. We are proud beyond measure that Tilghman has agree to sit on our Board at Long Bay Theatre in Myrtle Beach. Thank you Tilghman for standing as an Arts Hero!

Laniece resides in the Myrtle Beach area with her husband Patrick and two children. She is an Associate Broker with Realty One Group Dockside. She is a graduate of the Coastal Carolina Association of Realtors Leadership Program.  She serves as a Human Rights Commissioner for the City of Myrtle Beach and a member of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, NAACP, One Cares with Realty One Group, National Association of Realtors, and South Carolina Realtors Association. 

Laniece has a passion for the arts and entertainment industry. She has performed on numerous stages alongside may talented performers in the Myrtle Beach area. She performed at Celebration Music Theatre in 2011. She was also the original female lead singer in the regionally renowned Chocolate Chip and Company Band. She studied vocal performance for two years at Coastal Carolina University. Art and entertainment are such a beautiful portion of our culture.   For that reason, she looks forward to serving on the Long Bay Theatre board. In her spare time, Laniece enjoys spending time with her family and friends, swimming at the beach, singing and listening to various types of music, producing video content, and writing.

Sarah Shore is active in the Myrtle Beach community and a life-long supporter of the arts. She is committed to helping Long Bay Theatre bring world class theatre to Myrtle Beach.

Martina is a lifelong native of Myrtle Beach. She is Creative Director for Sugar 8 Marketing. She is Co-Founder of Myrtle Beach Midtown Disaster Relief. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Myrtle Beach and also involved in their Public Relations. She is on the Board of Directors for Sonshine Recovery Ministries. She is very passionate about the arts. Martina is incredibly active in the community. We are so grateful to have such a passionate supporter of the arts on our board!
