Summer Shakespeare Intensives
About the Program
In our FIRST SUMMER, we present our professional-level theatre intensive programs for students ages 12-18! Over the course of 3 different 2 week sessions, students will rehearse and perform one hour adaptations of Shakespeare plays.
SESSION 2: A Midsummer Night’s Dream June 12-24

8:30 am-9:25 am...............Movement for the Actor
Explore ways to express character, story, and emotions
through physicalization.
9:25 am-10:20 am.............Voice and Text
Release your voice to express the nuances of classical text
and poetry. Learn the basics of Shakespearean text work.
10:20 am-10:30 am...........Break
10:30 am-11:30 pm...........Acting/Scene Work
Develop your classical acting technique through classical
monologue and scene work.
11:30 pm-12:00 pm............Lunch
12:00 pm-12:50 pm............Stage Combat
Safely explore stage combat techniques from hand-to-hand to basic
weaponry (foam & wooden weapons)
12:50 pm-2:20 pm..............Midsummer Rehearsal
